Once a month or more, NLP Canada Training hosts an evening program. Most of these 2 hour programs run by donation to a designated charity: Registration is always required. Here are a sample of the courses we have offered and may be offering again. If you see one you like that isn't on the calendar, please email us and we'll see if we can fit it into our schedule.
You'll also find information about evening program in the Events section of the website within a month of when they take place. Even the introductory programs offer a fresh twist on how to understand or combine patterns, so they are as useful as a chance to brush up skills as they are as a first step into NLP, Hypnosis or the Enneagram. Bring a friend - it often costs no more, but it doubles the fun!
Inspired! An Introduction to NLP
7:30 pm to 9:30 pm, 47 Queen's Park Cres. E., Toronto
Have you ever wished you felt more inspired? Maybe you are looking at a task or a problem and wishing you had some new ideas on how to manage it better. Maybe you are looking at someone else and wondering what you can do or say to inspire them.
Inspiration is a state that includes ideas, feelings, and physical sensations. Like other states, it is produced when your brain and body communicate in a particular pattern. Like other states, it is the product of conscious awareness and unconscious choices. Like other states, it can be understood as a pattern so that it can be replicated.
If you are new to our training or to NLP, this is a great place to start. If you have trained with us before, you'll love this program.
Come because you need inspiration. Come because you want to inspire someone. Come because inspiration feels great.

Change with NLP & Ericksonian Hypnosis
7:30PM - 9:30 PM, 47 Queen's Park Cres. E., Toronto
Have you heard good things about NLP or hypnosis but wondered how they get results? Join Linda Ferguson for an evening exploring the mind, the brain and the connections we make. Begin to notice more about your own perceptions, the stories you tell about your life and the way you are shaping your choices and activities to get the results you are getting. What would be different if change came easily?
While recovering from polio as a young man, Erickson took a famous canoe trip. Throughout his career, he got people "unstuck" by getting them outside, climbing mountains or working in his garden. We think Erickson would be pleased that we are offering this evening training by donation to Trails Youth Initiatives.

How to Evaluate Change
7:30PM - 9:30 PM, 47 Queen's Park Cres. E., Toronto
Have you ever made changes at work or at home? Change is notoriously hard to evaluate. When it is working, it feels so natural that we simply adopt it as the new standard and carry on. When it doesn't work, we gravitate back to the way we have always done things.
This short program will introduce integrated thinking: a four component process for noticing and modifying changes so that you keep moving in the direction you want to go. Building from the practices of NLP and the work of thinkers in both business and psychology, we will present a model that allows you to notice when change is working.
Come prepared to think, to ask questions, to be challenged, and to thoroughly enjoy the process.

Ready for Peak Performance
7:30 pm to 9:30 pm, 47 Queen's Park Cres. E., Toronto
Whether you are working hard towards a goal or taking a hit that you didn't see coming, you are likely to be in one of two states. You might be really stressed. When that feels good, we use words like "pumped" and when it becomes too much too handle, we say we are "stressed out." Stress is like a warning that tells us to be 100% attentive to either danger or opportunity. It's exhausting and when it exhausts us, it is dangerous in itself.
There's a better choice. You can choose to be relaxed and ready. In sports, relaxed and ready allows athletes to direct all their energy and attention where it will be most effective. Instead of consuming energy to maintain a level of stress, they put every once of effort where it will produce real results. Athletes who play contact sports know another thing about relaxed and ready: if you have to take a hit, relaxed and ready allows you to take it without injury and get back to work immediately.
Come play with us for one evening. We promise you will leave feeling focused and recharged. You'll be relaxed and ready to get results you like.

NLP & the Enneagram
7:30 PM to 9:30 PM, 47 Queen's Park Cres. E., Toronto
Would you like to know how to hear what your choice of words is saying about you? Would you like to choose your words to make an impact on different types of people? This evening will introduce you to the Enneagram: an effective, flexible system of personality types that describes nine different ways of interacting with the world. It will also introduce the meta-model, an NLP based set of tools for understanding how the language people uses reflects and influences the way they perceive themselves and the world. When you put them together, you have an elegant set of practices for recognizing the patterns people are using to live and work.
This two hour evening is suitable for people who have already experienced NLP and/or the Enneagram, and for people who want to know more before studying either NLP or the Enneagram. It will feature a plain language overview of the material, and a chance to participate in exercises that allow you to get hands-on experience of how NLP and the Enneagram work.

How to Raise a Writer
7:30 PM to 9:30 PM, 47 Queen's Park Cres. E., Toronto
You might be a parent with a little boy or girl who just does not like to read and write. Or you might have your hands full with a child who loves to write - long, rambling stories that do not quite make sense to you. In both cases, you have a problem. You know that the ability to write well is likely to be an important component of your child's long-term success. Good writers do better in school and have more confidence and more opportunities in their careers. You want your kids to be able to write comfortably and well. And you probably wonder what you should be doing to support their learning so that they gain the skills and comfort they need to write effectively.
Dr. Linda Ferguson has experience teaching reading and writing to people from 3 years old to senior citizens. She has a special passion for teaching children to love reading and writing and has raised two very good writers of her own (her sons are among the few people she trusts to edit her writing sensitively and precisely). In two hours, Linda will persuade you that no matter what your own skills are, you can open new doors for your children. You can raise writers.
